This cabinetry of this kitchen formally painted yellow and gray was transformed into an elegant aged mahogany kitchen with the application of several layers of paints, glazes and varnishes.
WOOD GRAINED PAINTED CANVAS CEILING

The large flat ceiling areas of this room are actually large trompe l’oeil canvases painted to match the existing wood beams of this gothic style room. The canvases were painted in the studio and applied directly to the ceiling. 30ft by 30ft/9.1m by 9.1m
FAUX MARBLE PILLARS
These faux marble pillars painted to match the marble knee walls in this bank’s interior blend seamlessly with the actual stone.
LIGHT BLUE AND WHITE PAINTED FLOOR WITH SEAHORSES
This floor was formerly dark brown but now, with its light blue and white colorway and a small entry graced with facing seahorses, it’s fits perfectly with the rest of the residence. The aged look was created by applying several thin passes of color over each other to achieve this beautiful look. 14ft by 14ft/4.25m by 4.25m

These pillars which were previously olive green have been given an elegant update by painting them with a rich mahogany wood-grained finish.
SILVER AND BLACK PAINTED PIANO FRONT
Le Montrose Hotel, West Hollywood, CA
This piano was originally off-white with painted gold accents. To give it a fun playful yet elegant look, the piano was painted a silver metallic with black designs and beautiful silver blue eyes, giving it a beautiful feminine appearance as well.
FAUX TRAVERTINE WALL
Marriott Hotel Boston, MA
Even upon close inspection, this wall of painted travertine is imperceivable from the actual travertine in the lobby of this hotel.
FAUX MARBLE PILLARS
These two faux marble pillars flanking the entrance to this room give it a formal feel. In addition, the frames of the doors are wood grained to match the existing woodwork.
Beverly Hills, CA
This fireplace is a combination of both actual marble and faux work on the same piece. The raised carved areas are actually applied moldings. These moldings were hand painted to blend perfectly with the flat pieces of the actual marble giving the fireplace the look of a carved marble fireplace surround.
FAUX BURLWOOD AND MAHOGANY PAINTED FIREPLACE SURROUND AND PANELING
This fireplace and flanking wood panels were painted with a combination of both mahogany and burlwood. By using the two different types of wood the details of the piece become more pronounced.

WOOD-GRAINED DOORS AND WINDOWS TO MATCH EXISTING WOOD
It was not possible to have to windows and doors of this room manufactured in the wood the rest of the room is paneled in. So, wood graining was necessary to tie the room together.

What appears to be an inlaid marble pietra dura table is actually a cleverly-painted imitation.
EXTERIOR WOOD -GRAINED GATE
