PAINTED FAUX STONE CEILING BEAMS WITH GILDED CEILING SECTIONS
Boston College Chestnut, MA
The beamed structure of the hall which were formally painted brown were painted to exactly match the existing stonework of the hallway. Each beam was painted as sectional trompe l’oeil stonework. At each end of the halls is a painted trompe l’oeil archway to give the end cap of the halls a needed architectural feature. This trompe l’oeil feature mirrors the other architectural elements of the building. The silver leaf panels were created by first texturing the surface and then applying the silver leaf. 60ft by 20ft/18.8m by 6m

16TH CENTURY GILDED LEAF AND VINE MURAL

This leaf and vine motif mural was inspired by the 16th century walls of the Pope’s bedroom in Avignon, France. To add more depth and a wonderful shimmer, gold leaf was applied to the tips and edges of the leaves and vines.
